Choosing a theme, then changing colours, fonts and the parts every page shares.
Choosing a theme
Appearance → Theme Manage lists every theme your plan includes. Each one is a complete design: its own layout, section styles, typography and colour treatment. Activating a theme changes how your existing content is presented — your pages, posts and products are untouched.
Some themes are built around one feature. A shop theme expects the eCommerce plugin, a booking theme expects hotel booking. Those pages are available without any extra activation when you run that theme.
Colours and fonts
Appearance → Color Settings and Typography Settings hold the site-wide palette and typefaces. Change them here rather than inside individual sections, so the whole site stays consistent — including pages you add later.
Theme Options
Some themes expose extra content of their own — a trust bar, a watermark, shop page copy — under Appearance → Theme Options. The screen only shows options the active theme actually uses, so it stays short.
What lives where
| What you want to change | Where it lives |
|---|---|
| Section content on a page | The page builder, on that page |
| Header navigation links | Appearance → Menu Manage |
| Announcement bar, phone, email, social icons | Appearance → Topbar Settings |
| Footer columns | Appearance → Widget Builder |
| Colours and fonts | Appearance → Color / Typography Settings |
| Logo, favicon, site name, tagline | General Settings → Basic Settings |
Each setting has exactly one home. If you cannot find something, it is almost always in the row above rather than duplicated somewhere else.
