How the drag-and-drop builder is organised, and how to edit a page safely.
Opening the builder
Pages lists every page. Use Edit with Page Builder to open the visual editor. The canvas shows the page with your theme's real styling, so what you arrange is what visitors see.
How a page is put together
- Sections are full-width horizontal bands. A page is a stack of sections.
- Columns divide a section side by side. Drag the divider to change the split.
- Widgets are the content blocks that sit in columns — a heading, an image, a team slider, a product row.
Add a widget by dragging it from the left panel into a column. Click a widget to edit it: the right panel has General (its content) and Style (spacing and appearance) tabs.
Saving and publishing
Changes are saved to the page when you press Save. Use the preview to check the page on a phone width before you save — most visitors arrive on a phone.
The widget palette
The palette only lists widgets your active theme styles, so you cannot accidentally place a section that looks broken on your design. Widgets are grouped by purpose:
- Basic — heading, text, image, button, spacer, divider
- Common — the full-width sections most sites need: About, Services, Team, Testimonials, FAQ, Blog, Portfolio, Gallery, Video, Brands, Contact
- Theme sections — sections designed for your specific theme (hero banners and the like)
- eCommerce — product rows, categories, best sellers (with the eCommerce plugin active)
Widgets that pull content from elsewhere
Several widgets show content you manage in another screen, so one edit updates every page that shows it:
| Widget | Reads from |
|---|---|
| Blog | Blog → Posts |
| Services | Service |
| Portfolio | Portfolio |
| Testimonials | Testimonial |
| FAQ | FAQ |
| Image / Video gallery | Gallery |
| Team | the widget's own list |
| Brands | Brand |
| Contact | Custom Form Builder (pick the form) |
| Product rows | Products |
For those widgets the settings panel controls how many items to show and their order — not the items themselves.
